Meredith MacKenzie, MA
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Meredith MacKenzie is a warm and genuine individual, couple and family therapist. She works with both adolescent and adult clients. She recognizes the bravery it takes for many clients to take the first step in working with a therapist, and is committed to making therapy a safe and inviting space. Meredith connects well with adolescent clients with a warm sense of humour and humility that young clients appreciate.
Meredith views the therapeutic relationship she creates with each client as a unique opportunity to provide support and a space for client growth. Meredith believes that it’s through genuine human connection that people are able to develop greater self-awareness and challenge what holds them back from living the life they would like. As in the name of our clinic, Meredith sees herself as working in parallel to her clients as they gain greater personal well-being.
Meredith MacKenzie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#6766). She received her MA in Counselling Psychology from Adler University and is currently working towards a PhD in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Meredith brings a wealth of experience to her therapy sessions, having worked for both residential and community mental health organizations in addition to her five years in private practice. She is a proud advocate for positive body image and the LGBTQ community.
Meredith has a focus in her practice for working with clients and families of clients with disordered eating and eating disorders.
